The moment finally came! Brad Pitt proposed to Angelina Jolie after seven years of dating and six children.
Many thought that the moment would never arrive, but those who followed Brangelina?s love story remained hopeful and got their wish.
We?ve all seen them in the headlines for years and years starting with the scandal on set up until Wednesday, when the future Mrs. Pitt was spotted donning a rock on her finger at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art?s Chinese galleries.
?It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy,? said Cynthia Pett-Dante, the heart-throb actor?s manager to People.
Well it?s about time! Let?s take a look at how this couple has grown before our eyes throughout the past seven years.
Summer of 2004: The two filmed ?Mr. and Mrs. Smith? together and rumors stirred that they were more than just cast-mates. They both denied it and their lives went on normally, so we thought.
January 2005: The adorable couple of Brad and Jennifer Aniston sadly announce that they are separating after more than seven years together. America was heartbroken.
March 2005: Miss Aniston files for divorce.
April 2005: We ask if the rumors were true as photos surface of the alleged couple on a beach in Kenya with the ?Changeling? star?s adopted son Maddox.
Summer of 2005: The two pose for a shoot with W magazine titled ?Domestic Bliss? and the media goes wild, saying they?re a couple. They deny claims that they are together. Miss Jolie adopts her second child, Zahara Marley, in July.
October 2005: The former couple, Pitt and Aniston, finalizes their divorce.
January 2006: Shocking! Angelina announced to People that she is pregnant Brad?s first child and she has her adopted children?s names legally changed to Jolie-Pitt.
May 2006: Jolie gives birth to their daughter, Shiloh, whose pictures were sold to People and OK for $4.1 million and $3.5 million. They donated the money to charity.
October 2006: Pitt announced in an interview with Esquire that he would marry Jolie when same-sex marriage is legal in the United States.
May 2008: ?Kung Fu Panda? star announces that she and her man are expecting twins.
July 2008: She gives birth to a son, Knox L�on, and a daughter, Vivienne Marcheline, once again selling the pictures People and Hello! for $14 million with proceeds going to their Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
October 2008: Jolie confirms their affair when she tells The New York Times about her and Pitt?s romantic relationship during the filming of ?Mr. and Mrs. Smith?. He claimed that he did not cheat on Aniston during production and began his relationship after the two separated.
November 2008: Jen strikes back and said that Angelina?s comment was ?uncool? in an interview with Vogue. She went on to say, "I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss," Aniston said. "That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool."
September 2011: More controversy stirs as Brad told Parade that his married life with Aniston wasn?t interesting. He went on to say that he was just in a bad place in his life at the end of the marriage and his relationship with Angelina brought him out of it.
January 2012: Pitt said that his children were asking why he and Jolie weren?t married stating to The Hollywood Reporter, ?We'd actually like to and it seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declaration some time ago that we weren't going to do it till everyone can. But I don't think we'll be able to hold out. It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot. And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment."
