Beyonce and Jay-Z To Trademark Blue Ivy Carter?s Name

New parents Beyonce and Jay-Z are looking to trademark their baby girl?s name. Can you imagine having your name trademarked, me neither but then again my parents aren’t B & J either. In a move that most parents wouldn?t even think of doing Beyonce and Jay-Z have filed papers with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to trademark their first child?s name, Blue Ivy Carter. For those of thinking the parents are being over the top, just keep reading and you will totally understand where they are coming from. If you think this is a rather drastic move, well apparently it isn?t. Turns out a couple of days after the famous couple welcomed their baby girl a couple of designers tried to get their hands on the now famous name. According to Gossip Cop designer Joseph Mbeh filed an application for ?Blue Ivy Carter NYC? on January 11th and then on January 18th a unknown but separate entity filed paperwork for a fragrance to be called ?Blue Ivy Carter Glory IV?.
