Glee?s Cory Monteith Talks Drug and Alcohol Past

Finn Hudson has pretty much lived on the straight and narrow, and personally I enjoy the naivete that is Finn. It was quite the opposite for Cory Monteith, the 29-year-old (wow, I didn’t realize he was 29!) Glee star who portrays the high school quarterback, who had some troubling teenage years that involved drugs and alcohol. We’ve got the deets here! In a very revealing interview with Parade Magazine that comes out this weekend in your paper, Monteith exclusively spoke to the mag about how at the young age of 13, he was already getting drunk, smoking pot and ditching school. Monteith, who hails from British Columbia, admitted that by the time he was 16 years old he said, “I was out of control.” His drug use, which started out with pot, quickly moved on to ‘anything and everything’. He had his first rehab stint at the age of 19, after an intervention was orchestrated by his family. Unfortunately, it wasn’t long before he start using again.
