Joining in on the annual cinematic festivities, Alexander Skarsgard was in attendance at the 2011 Hamptons International Film Festival on Friday night (October 14).
The "True Blood" hunk took to the east coast event for the premiere of his movie "Melancholia," for which he joined alongside fellow guest David Nugent while posing on the arrivals carpet.
Talking with MovieLine during his visit, Alexander was asked about being a regular at the Hamptons International Film Festival.
To this, he replied, "I?ve actually been coming out a lot this summer, because I?ve been shooting in New York the past two and a half months. My best friend, who?s out here tonight with her husband, they have a house out in Amagansett. So on weekends, when I?m done shooting, that?s where I go off to. I?ve been out there a lot this year."
Also asked about the Skarsgard family dynamics and role-seeking efforts - seeing that his father and younger brother are both in the movie making business - the 35-year-old told,
Well, I?m 14 years older than Bill, and my brother Gus, we?re quite different. We usually don?t go after the same parts. So I wouldn?t say its competitive. But we do talk a lot about work, and we do encourage each and try to keep each other motivated."
